GLORY 21 SAN DIEGO: Official Weigh-In Results

  • News
  • May 7, 2015

Bill Goldberg had his hands full at the official GLORY 21 SAN DIEGO weigh-ins.

The newcomer to the GLORY team is working his first event this week and had his hands full straight away. He had to jump out of his front-row seat to separate heavyweight tournament participants ‘Chopper’ Chi Lewis-Parry and Xavier Vigney as a nose-to-nose staredown turned into a shoving match.

Demoreo Dennis, who faces ‘Chopper’ in the semi-finals, then jumped into the middle of it all and started dancing. The room erupted into laughter but there were no smiles from Vigney and ‘Chopper’; they stayed locked into a black scowl until their teams were able to lead them away and restore calm.

Main event fighters Artem ‘The Lion’ Levin and Simon ‘Bad Bwoy’ Marcus have history but their face-off was ice cold compared to what preceded it.

Levin is the GLORY World Middleweight Champion but has a 2013 loss to Marcus under Muay Thai rules which he wants to avenge on Friday night. He and Marcus made weight for their five-round contest with no issues.

Co-main event fighters Raymond ‘Real Deal’ Daniels and the Bellator MMA veteran Justin Baesman were also on weight for their welterweight showdown. Daniels is looking to get back on the title trail after coming second in the recent Welterweight Contender Tournament and Baesman wants his Bellator debut to go with a bang.
