Daniel Morales is Chicago, Illinois born and raised and is of Mexican heritage through his parents.

Life for the young Morales was not easy, growing up in a troubled area of Chicago, and he found himself on the wrong path at one point. Martial arts brought him the change of direction he needed.

“I am what people consider to be a soul survivor. I could've been in jail right now, but martial arts saved me at the young age of 17,” he says.

“Through the strong faith my family displayed to me when everyone lost hope, I have a powerful faith that it's never too late to change your life around. So start today.”

GLORY made its debut in Chicago on October 12, 2013 and Morales was part of the audience to see fighters like Rico Verhoeven, Gokhan Saki, Daniel Ghita and more in the flesh. He was transfixed.

“I was sitting with my father in attendance and told him "That will be me soon”, after watch Rico win the Glory Heavyweight Championship Tournament,” he reveals.

“So to me, being in GLORY is the beginning of a dream coming true. Blessed be the fire that burns deep in the soul. The dream is real.”
