Dylan Salvador was born and raised in the south of France, first in the ancient city of Lyon and then further south in the city of Perpignan (well known to European Rugby fans for the successes of their team) on the south coast.

Salvador played soccer with his friends as a youth but then encountered the movies of Jean Claude Van Damme and Sylvester Stallone in the Rocky movies. This got his attention and immediately made him want to become a martial artist and fighter.

He was “ten or eleven years old” at the time and within weeks was enrolled in a kickboxing school. Shortly afterwards he switched to Muay Thai because he wanted to study the Thai art as seen in the KICKBOXER movie.

He was lucky to be in the Lyon area because that is where team Nasser-K are based and they are one of the best in Europe. Under the stewardship of former world champion Naasser Kacem the team has established a great reputation and is home to some great fighters.

Salvador has some notable wins in Muay Thai over Thai fighters and also in 2015 took a close win over Sittichai under kickboxing rules in Italy.

Outside of his fighting career Salvardor also has a Diploma of Scientific and Technical University Study to do with sports physiology. It is applicable to physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation and he says the qualification is part of his preparation for his career after fighting.
