Sitthichai scoops both GLORY 39 BRUSSELS bonus awards

Lightweight champion Sitthichai was a triple winner at GLORY 39 BRUSSELS.

Not only did he retain his title, he has been declared 'Fighter of the Night' for his win over Dylan Salvador at GLORY 39 BRUSSELS and the knee which ended the bout has won him the 'Knockout of the Night' award as well.

Each award carries with it a bonus payment of $5,000, making for an extra $10,000 heading Sitthichai's way for his outstanding performance in the Belgian capital on March 29.

It was his second defense of the belt, which he won from Robin van Roosmalen at GLORY 31 AMSTERDAM and retained when he met Marat Grigorian (for what was their third fight) at GLORY 36 GERMANY in December.

The awards system was introduced in July last year at GLORY 32 VIRGINIA as a way of rewarding standout performances.

'Fighter of the Night' is awarded to the competitor who demonstrates the most impressive performance inside the GLORY ring on that evening, whether he wins or loses his bout.

'Knockout of the Night' is awarded to the competitor who delivers the most spectacular knockout during the event.
