Mexican featherweight Abraham ‘Ham’ Vidales has been signed to a multi-fight deal with GLORY Kickboxing, the organization has today announced.
Vidales, from Monterrey, Mexico, is an ISKA national champion in his homeland.
At 11-0 with nine wins inside the distance, he is a proven finishes and has established himself as being particularly proficient with body-shot finishes.
Having reached the peak of his weight class in Mexico, Vidales is now stepping onto the international stage to test himself against the best strikers in the world.
Vidales fights out of Living Legacy Muay Thai in his home city of Monterrey. His team also has an affiliation with VFS Academy (Valle Flow Striking) in Wood Dale, Illinois, where GLORY welterweight Richard ‘Maximum’ Abraham can often be found in the training room.
While Vidales has set his sights on achieving greatness in his chosen discipline, he also has high ambitions outside the ring: he is a dentistry student and is on track to become a professionally qualified dentist, which career he intends to pursue when his fighting days are over.
That is in the distant future though: right now Vidales is in his competitive prime and looking forward to testing himself in the world’s toughest competition for martial arts strikers.
“This is the biggest opportunity in my life. Me, my team at Living Legacy and my coach Javier Garzac have achieved this together, and I must also thank VFS Academy for their help,” he says.
“Now the hard work continues - and we must work harder than ever, to take advantage of this great opportunity and show what we are capable of!”
A debut date and opponent for Vidales will be announced shortly.
