Chi Lewis-Parry Injured; GLORY 41 Holland Co-Headline Bout Features Hesdy Gerges vs. Tomáš Hron
Published on May 16, 2017
The highly anticipated grudge match between Chi Lewis-Parry and Hesdy Gerges has once again been delayed after Lewis-Parry tore three ligaments in his hand and wrist during final preparations for the May 20 match-up.
Gerges will remain in the GLORY 41 Holland co-headline bout, taking on Czech heavyweight Tomáš “Rattle Snake” Hron (84-17-3, 30 KO, fighting out of the Netherlands), who steps in on short notice.
Hron competed on the local undercard at GLORY 14 Zagreb in 2014, winning by unanimous decision, but the bout this Saturday will be his official debut for the organization. A former training partner of legend Mirko Cro Cop, Hron holds victories over veterans Andrei Stoica, Kirill Kornillov, Catalin Morosanu, Jahfar Wilnis, Dmytro Bezus, Daniel Sam, Anderson Silva, Igor Jurkovic, Brice Guidon, and Errol Zimmerman.
