BIO BRIAN FOSTER

Brian Foster started training in martial arts when his brother died in 2006. He says he used the intensity of the training to blot out the anger and frustration he felt at his loss. He channeled it all into fighting and used it as fuel to succeed.

Foster originally competed in Mixed Martial Arts and was very successful. He was invited to the join the ranks of the UFC and had a good run, including wins over contender-level fighters such as Matt ‘The Immortal’ Brown.

A medical issue meant Foster had to take some time out from fighting. He left the UFC while he recovered. Now he’s back to competing at the top level - only this time, he’s trying his hand at the strictly stand-up game.

Foster has 19 wins in MMA and all of them have come inside the distance. He’s got heavy hands and plenty of power. He describes himself as “a freestyle fighter” and he’s demonstrated a lot of  versatility in his career so far. Can he replicate his MMA success in the world’s premier striking league?
